Family:  Catostomidae (Suckers), subfamily: Catostominae
Max. size:  65 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater, potamodromous
Distribution:  North America: USA; occurrence in Mexico is uncertain.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Adults inhabit lakes and deep runs and pools of small to medium rivers (Ref. 52299). They feed on aquatic insects, mollusks, amphipods, ostracods, algae, plant seeds and fish (Ref. 79012).
