Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Africa: lower Congo River basin in Democratic Republic of the Congo (Ref. 42476, 42510). Also reported from the middle Chari (Chad basin) in Chad (Ref. 3052) and the Cross River in Nigeria (Ref. 52861), but presence of this species in West Africa needs confirmation (Ref. 81274).
