Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Africa: Madagascar and Reunion Island.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 55-60. This species has is distinguished by its head length of 10-12% SL and 33-34 tail rings (Ref. 132364).
