Habitat where found is highly variable, including rivers, creeks, swamps, marshy lagoons, lakes, and reservoirs. Usually forms aggregations at or near the surface of deeper pools in stream habitats, especially where there is aquatic vegetation or log debris (Ref. 44894). |
