Family:  Leuciscidae (Minnows), subfamily: Pogonichthyinae
Max. size:  13 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  North America: White (excluding Black River system) and Little Red River systems in southern Missouri and northern Arkansas, USA.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Adults inhabit rocky pools, runs and deep riffles of clear, fast creeks and small to medium rivers (Ref. 86798). Oviparous (Ref. 205), probably nest spawners like congeners. Migratory behaviour is undetermined (Ref. 126106).
