Environment:  bathypelagic; marine
Distribution:  Atlantic Ocean: in tropical and temperate waters.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 9-10; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 28-30. Body pale with a greyish dorsal band (Ref. 4056).
Biology:  Epipelagic to bathypelagic (Ref. 4056).
