Distinct pairs breed on densely grown weedy places (Ref. 205). Males are sexually mature at 1 year while the females become mature at 2 years. Reproduction is from November to March with a peak from December to March. The female spawns 100,000 to 200,000 eggs (Ref. 12225). |
