Distribution:  Africa: Tanzania.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 15-15; Dorsal soft rays (total): 9-10; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 7-8
Biology:  The species is mainly found in offshore areas at depths greater than 4 meters, characterized by gently to moderately sloping terrain with substrates of small boulders and steep rocks. Its diet consists primarily of snails and ostracods, with insect larvae consumed occasionally and in smaller proportions (Ref. 137953).
