Dorsal spines (total): 1-1; Dorsal soft rays (total): 12-13; Anal soft rays: 8-8. Diagnosis: mouth inferior; one pair of barbels, sometimes two; anterior barbel, if present very small; posterior barbel 0.5x eye diameter (Ref. 81639).
Description: large species; lips weakly developed, lower lip largely interrupted; scales longitudinally striated; scale formula: 4.5/26-29/4.5/2-2.5/12. D: III-IV, 10; A: III, 5; P: 15-16; V: 10; lateral line complete; dorsal fin concave, last simple ray ossified, not serrated, measuring 0.6-0.67x HL (Ref. 81639).
Coloration: ground color olive brown dorsally, golden brown ventrally; scales with dark basal marking; fins dark (Ref. 81639). |
