| Biology: | The holotype was collected on a sandy run with moderate flow, in Rio Portuguesa . It was a nuptial male with breeding odontodes, suggesting that January is within the time of spawning as was suggested for A. ammophilus. It appears to be restricted to white waters (Ref. 129253). | |||
