Occurs in deep large rivers in upland regions (Ref. 41236). Adults prefer deep rocky pools, mostly hide under bedrocks and boulders; while juveniles prefer pools and riffles (Ref. 43631, 44151). Feed on allochthonous plant materials and debris (Ref. 44151). Breed after the monsoon, when river gets stabilized; fries available during February and March (Ref. 44151). |
