Distribution:  Southeast Pacific: Easter I. (Ref. 57581), Desventuradas Is., Juan Fernández (Ref. 89357).
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 19-22. Preopercle with 2-3 antrorse spines (one spine usually at angle, the other spine or spines on ventral margin (Ref. 40817).
