Max. size:  11.9 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; depth range 30 - 30 m
Distribution:  Africa: Lake Victoria.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs some distance offshore over a soft bottom, in deep water (Ref. 4983). The stomachs of the specimens which were examined contained mainly undigested blue-green algae and empty diatom frustules. Crustacean fragments and unidentifiable insect remains were also found (Ref. 558). Maximum depth from Ref. 58018.
