Max. size:  20 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; depth range - 36 m
Distribution:  Africa: Lake Victoria.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in exposed water with a mud bottom (Ref. 4983). Two specimens which were examined for gut content had small fragments of small Haplochromis species in the stomach and intestines (Ref. 558).
