Family:  Cichlidae (Cichlids), subfamily: Pseudocrenilabrinae
Max. size:  9 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; depth range 14 - 18 m
Distribution:  Africa: Lake Victoria.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in a relatively sheltered gulf with a mud bottom (Ref. 4983). Bottom mud and Diptera pupae (probably Chironomidae) were identified in specimens which were examined for gut content (Ref. 558).
