Vertebrae: 143-147. Description: Characterized by greyish brown or tan color; paler on ventral surface of head and trunk; white narrow margins on fins; sensory pores surrounded by white spots on side of jaw; body depth at gill opening 16-20; origin of dorsal fin about midway between corner of mouth and gill opening; anus anterior to middle of body; preanal length 2.1-2.2 in TL; short and conical snout, with rounded anterior profile; single row of jaw teeth with finely serrated edges at side of jaws (Ref. 90102). |
Collected in less than 0.5 m (Ref. 10713). Usually in sand and mud bottoms to at least 15 m (Ref 90102). |
