Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 319 - 612 m
Distribution:  Northwest Pacific: Japan.
Diagnosis:  This species is characterized by the following: absence of lateral line and scales on body; head length 25.6-26.0% SL; orbit diameter 5.2-6.0% SL; upper jaw length 11.7-13.0% SL; dorsal fin length 20.9-23.9% SL; numerous dark brown spots on body; lanceolate and white tips of first and third free rays of pelvic fins (Ref. 75203).
