Family:  Eleotridae (Bully sleepers)
Max. size:  27 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater; brackish
Distribution:  North to South America: Pacific drainage between the Río Yaqui, Mexico to Peru.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabit rivers, creeks and lakes from the brackish swamps to sea level to 115 m elevation. Young are very abundant near the coast, suggesting reproduction in marine or brackish waters. Eats crustaceans and fish (Ref. 36880).
