Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 1 - 15 m
Distribution:  Western Central Pacific: Hong Kong to Japan (Ref. 36349); range extended to Midway Atoll, Hawaii (Ref, 48237).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits shallow rocky reefs (Ref. 36349). Benthopelagic (Ref. 58302).
