Max. size:  23 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: India, eastern Nepal and Bangladesh (Ref. 4832). Reported from Bhutan (Ref. 40882).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in mountain streams (Ref. 41236). Hides under rocks and boulders in swift and clear water streams (Ref. 1479).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 09 October 2009 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
