Occur in vegetated pools and margins of springs and spring-fed headwaters and creeks (Ref 5723, 10294). 9.4 cm TL (Ref. 5723). Juveniles feed primarily on microcrustacea and midges; adults consume amphipods and isopods, small mayflies, terrestrial insects, and snails (Ref. 10294). Not a seasonal killifish (Ref. 27139). |
