Dorsal soft rays (total): 20-20; Anal soft rays: 3-3. This species is distinguished by the following characters: P 12-13; rings 16-17 + 31-32 = 47-48;
lateral trunk ridge ends on the third or fourth caudal ring; upper and lower caudal ridges no spines; with prepectoral ridges; snout deep and moderately short; head with four wide transversal bands; trunk with numerous narrow transversal bands, main background pale (Ref. 129452). |
