Family:  Gobiidae (Gobies), subfamily: Gobiinae
Max. size:  1.37 cm SL (male/unsexed); 1.56 cm TL (female)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 13 - 66 m
Distribution:  Western Pacific: Palau and Indonesia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): -7; Dorsal soft rays (total): -9; Anal soft rays: -8. This species is distinguished by the following set of characters: (Ref. 122127).
Biology:  This species is apparently a relatively deep-reef inhabitant primarily associated with small caves in the vertical slopes of the drop-offs. Collected by rotenone or clove oil from outer reef, vertical wall of drop-off with small caves, broad sandy ledge at 30 m, some gorgonians, sea fans, sponges, various hard corals, Acropora, Pocillopora, Halimeda (Ref. 122127).
