Max. size:  10 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  North America: found only in Kanawha River drainage above Kanawha Falls in West Virginia and Virginia, USA.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits fast rubble riffles of small to medium rivers (Ref. 5723).
IUCN Red List Status: Near Threatened (NT); Date assessed: 22 December 2011 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
