Distribution:  South America: Argentina.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 4-4; Anal soft rays: 4-5
Biology:  This species inhabits shallow (about 20 cm depth), fast-flowing waters with a substrate composed of sand and gravel. They sometimes dwell along the muddy riverbanks, hiding under woody debris (Ref. 137870).
