Environment:  demersal; brackish; marine; depth range 3 - 40 m
Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific: from the Red Sea and eastern coast of Africa to Indonesia, north to Japan; Mediterranean by Lessepian migration.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits inshore coastal waters (Ref. 47581). Feeds on small crustaceans and bivalves (Ref. 5213). Minimum depth range from Ref. 121815.
