Max. size:  9 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Africa: in tributaries of Lake Tanganyika, never recorded from the lake itself (Ref. 2801). Also recorded from the upper Lualaba and Lufira (Ref. 2970), and from the lower Lukuga (Ref. 93587)(upper Congo River basin) in Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Diagnosis:  Description: Lateral line scales 27-29 (Ref. 122753).
