Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 11-11; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 8-8. Diagnosis: last simple dorsal-fin ray smooth on hind margin; scale formula 5.5/27-30/4-4.5; 2.5 scales between lateral line and pelvic-fin base; 10-11 scales around caudal peduncle; 8 branched dorsal fin rays; two pairs of short barbels; anterior barbel not reaching to anterior margin of eye; posterior barbel not extending beyond centre of eye; lateral line complete and slightly depressed below dorsal fin; maximum reported size 34 mm SL; no black spot on dorsal fin; more or less distinct dark band along middle of sides (Ref. 2940, 81282).
Description: dorsal profile slightly convex; mouth subterminal; lateral line depressed below dorsal fin, curving down from the midline and rejoining it at level of anal fin; D: III,8; A: III,5 (Ref. 2940, 81282).
Coloration: black band along middle of sides, running from snout to end of caudal peduncle; scales on back black-edged, those on belly colorless (Ref. 2940, 81282). |
