Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Africa: only known from the type locality (Ref. 2801). Likely taken from the Caculovar River, a tributary of the Cunene in Angola, and not from the Lomba (neither the Zambezi as Pellegrin 1921 claimed, nor the Longa coastal Atlantic as suggested by Ref. 11970)(Ref. 120641).
