Diagnosis: last simple dorsal-fin ray not ossified and smooth on hind margin; scale formula 3.5/20-24/3.5; 2-2.5 scales between lateral line and pelvic-fin base; 8-10 scales around caudal peduncle; lateral-line scales slightly larger than other scales on sides; 8 branched dorsal fin rays; two pairs of short barbels; anterior barbel not reaching to anterior margin of eye; posterior barbel not extending beyond centre of eye; lateral line complete and more or less horizontal; maximum reported size 61 mm SL; no black spot on dorsal fin; no bands on sides; tip of dorsal fin black; cephalic lines of pores well visible (Ref. 2940, 81282).

Coloration: body olivaceous-brown, darker on back; scales lined with black; tip of dorsal fin black; no distinct dots or bands on body (Ref. 2940, 81282). |
