Dorsal soft rays (total): 11-11; Anal soft rays: 8-8. Diagnosis: mouth subterminal; barbels absent; lateral line incomplete with 2-5 perforated scales; 23-25 scales in lateral line; 9-10 circumpeduncular scales; 2.5 scales between lateral line and pelvic fin insertions; gill rakers present along lower limb of first gill arch; 9-10 small round spots alongside lateral line; dorsal fin with concave posterior margin (Ref. 81639).
Description: small-sized; scales with radial striae; 3.5 scales between lateral line and dorsal fin origin; 4.5 scales between lateral line and mid-belly; 23-25 scales in lateral line; lateral line incomplete: with 2-5 perforated scales; D:III,8; A:III,5; P:14-15; V:9-10; last simple ray dorsal fin simple, not serrated, nearly as long as head (Ref. 81639).
Coloration: ground colour yellowish; 9-10 small spots of grouped melanophores along lateral line, first and largest behind opercle; also small spot at base of caudal fin (Ref. 81639). |
