Description: Small species (Ref. 81639). No barbels (Ref. 122753). Dorsal fin with 3 unbranched and 8 branched rays; anal fin with 3 unbranched and 5 branched rays; dorsal fin border straight, last simple ray soft, smooth, measuring more or less head length (Ref. 81639). Scales with radial striae; 2.5 scales between lateral line and dorsal fin origin; 4.5 scales between lateral line and mid-belly; 21-25 scales in longitudinal series; 3.5 scales between lateral line and pelvic fin insertion (Ref. 81639).
Colouration: body ground colour yellowish, with dorsal scales stippled with brown or with brown border; thin black line on flanks, often accompanied by bright orange line; base of caudal fin orange, otherwise fins pale or whitish (Ref. 81639). |
