Family:  Tripterygiidae (Triplefin blennies), subfamily: Tripterygiinae
Max. size:  2.6 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 1 - 23 m
Distribution:  Pacific Ocean: Hawaiian Islands, French Frigate Shoals, Laysan Island, and Midway Atoll.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Adults are benthic in dead coral, rubble, or rock (Ref. 58302) and other habitats exposed to moderate surge (Ref. 54619). Eggs are hemispherical and covered with numerous sticky threads that anchor them in the algae on the nesting sites (Ref. 240). Larvae are planktonic which occur primarily in shallow, nearshore waters (Ref. 94114).
