Dorsal soft rays (total): 80-80; Anal soft rays: 58-58; Vertebrae: 24-25. This species is distinguished by the following characters: gill rakers serrate; large head (3.1-3.4 in SL); interorbital in both sexes extremely narrow or almost ridge-like; pectoral fin on ocular-side distinctly short, 1.4-1.6 times in HL in both sexes; no rostral or orbital spines in either sex (Ref. 126076). |
