Max. size:  38.3 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater; brackish; marine, amphidromous
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific: India and Sri Lanka extending eastward, including southern China, Philippines and Indonesia (Ref. 9772). Does not occur in Australia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 11-11; Dorsal soft rays (total): 25-28; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 7-7
Biology:  Inhabits coastal waters and estuaries (Ref. 9772). A food fish.
