Max. size:  7.5 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Oceania: southern Northern Territory, Australia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits open water or around aquatic vegetation in permanent waterholes. Tolerance to temperature and salinity is broad. An omnivore which probably spawns during warmer months. Mis-identified as C. eyresii (Ref. 44894).
