Max. size:  10 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Europe: River Beli Vit, Danube drainage in Bulgaria. Possibly found in other lower Danube tributaries. Status of threat: data deficient.
Diagnosis:  Can be distinguished from other congeners in Danube basin by the following characters: absence of transverse bands on pelvic; lateral line complete; absence of prickling on body; anal fin with 14-15 rays, rarely 13; second dorsal fin usually with 17-19 rays; lateral head length 27-33% SL (Ref. 59043).
