| Found among algal-matted rock and living corals of lagoon and seaward reefs from the low tide line to a depth of 25 m or more. Ovoviviparous (Ref. 205). The male carries the eggs in a brood pouch which is found under the tail (Ref. 205). Adults feed on small invertebrates particularly copepods (Ref. 89972). Monogamous and always in home-ranging pairs, that is they do not defend an exclusive territory (Ref. 52884). |
