Family:  Clariidae (Airbreathing catfishes)
Max. size:  11.8 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Africa: known from the Mutsindozi River, an affluent of the Malagarasi, in Burundi (Ref. 26960, 78218).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found over sand and mud bottoms (Ref. 26960, 78218). Voracious species, feeds on insects and insect larvae (Coleoptera and other unidentified larvae) (Ref. 26960). Insects and insect larvae have been found in stomach (Ref. 78218).
