Africa: Cunene River system (Ref. 7248, 33857, 120641). Also reported from the Camaloa River (Caluango River affluent, Luangwe/Luangue system, Kasai drainage, middle Congo River basin) (Ref. 7248, 11970) in Angola, but this is unconfirmed in Ref. 120641. |
Diagnosis: |
Description: moderately deep-bodied; head large; frontal profile slightly concave (Ref. 52307).
Coloration: body brown in both sexes (Ref. 52307). Males: dorsal fin dark brown with a paler base; several large, pale egg spots in anal fin; pelvic fins rather blackish; dark maculae may be visible in soft dorsal fin (Ref. 52307). Females: masculine color or pigmentation patterns absent (Ref. 52307). |
