Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 0 - 30 m
Distribution:  Western Atlantic: occurs throughout the Caribbean, Florida, Bahamas and Bermuda.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Burrows in soft muddy and sandy bottoms in shallow waters.
