Family:  Centrophoridae (Gulper sharks)
Max. size:  79.7 cm TL (male/unsexed); 65.2 cm TL (female)
Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range - 1000 m
Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: Seychelles.
Diagnosis:  This species is distinguished by having large tip of snout to first dorsal distance of 34% TL; first dorsal fin high (7 % TL); second dorsal fin base long (9.8% TL); long snout (12.2% TL); uniformly grey with tip and the trailing edge of dorsal fins blackish (Ref. 76802).
Biology:  Caught by trammel nets (Ref. 76802).

Threat to humans:  harmless
