Family:  Callionymidae (Dragonets)
Max. size:  30 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 2 - 25 m
Distribution:  Western Pacific: throughout Indonesia and probably more widespread.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits steep coastal sand slopes (Ref. 48636). Usually buries itself in the sand and is active during tidal changes or at dusk (Ref. 48636). May be found in pairs or solitary on sand-rubble bottoms (Ref. 90102).
