Max. size:  6.86 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  South America: Orinoco River basin.
Diagnosis:  Distinguished from congeners from the Orinoco and Lake Maracaibo basins by having teeth of outer premaxillary row arranged in zigzag and eight to 11 small lateral teeth on dentary (behind larger front teeth) (Ref. 86277).
