Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 9-9; Vertebrae: 27-29. Pronounced dark brown reticulum along the body sides, often with a crescent tail pattern (Ref. 42972).
Biology:  Inhabits small rivers; adults found in schools (Ref. 42972).
