Max. size:  45 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 10 - 40 m
Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific: southern Australia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Adults occur inshore (Ref. 75154). Found in oceanic reefs in 10-40 m, usually in caves (Ref. 9002). Oviparous, distinct pairing during breeding (Ref. 205).
IUCN Red List Status: Near Threatened (NT); Date assessed: 12 April 2008 Ref. (130435)
