Distribution:  Western Central Pacific: Malaysia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  This fighting fish species is collected from a shallow, clear-water hill stream habitat, bordered by overhanging vegetation, situated at the edge of a dense forest canopy. The substrate was composed mainly of pebbles, sand and silt (Ref. 123126). Maximum size based on holotype specimen (Ref. 123126).
