Family:  Bedotiidae (Madagascar rainbowfishes)
Max. size:  7.19 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; pH range: 6 - 70
Distribution:  Africa: middle reaches of Iaroka-Rianila basin in eastern Madagascar (Ref. 76768).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits shaded streams between 100 m and 850 m above sea level flowing under degraded forest cover; occurrence not influenced by the composition of the riparian vegetation; pH values range from 6.0-7.0; water temperature is strongly influenced by altitude (17-26°C) (Ref. 76768).
