Max. size:  39.2 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; marine; depth range 600 - 860 m
Distribution:  Eastern Pacific: Hawaii.
Diagnosis:  Vertebrae: 201-210. This species is distinguished by the following characters: with a slightly reduced gill opening, separated from pectoral-fin base by a distance of less than diameter of gill opening; total vertebrae 201-210; body medium to dark brown (Ref. 129617).
