Distinguished from other congeners by the combination of the following characters: caudal vertebrae 12; absence of mark on side of head; dorsal-fin spines 16; dorsal-fin rays 10-11; anal-fin rays 8-9; rib pairs 10-11; snout not robust; 24-25 proximal radials on dorsal-fin base; 13 proximal radials on anal-fin base; absence of depression on head; pre-orbital depth 62.2-65.3% HL; interorbital width 37.2-41.1% HL; wide ectopterygoid; arms of epibranchial 2 with two long tubular processes; arm of epibranchial 1long; body depth 46.6-49.8% SL; ; last anal-fin spine length 13.8-16.5% SL; and posterior arm of trunk vertical bar 7 wider than the anterior one (Ref. 79631). |
